Thousands of Canadians write to protect human rights with no exceptions in Amnesty International’s global Write-a-thon

Thousands of Canadians will be writing together to promote human rights as part of Amnesty International's global writeathon on or around December 10, International Human Rights Day. Amnesty International members and supporters in Canada will be holding more than 700 Write for Rights events across the country, with a goal to surpass last year's target of 20,000 letters.

Saturday December 9
Toronto, ON - Amnesty’s Toronto office at 14 Dundonald Street is hosting an open house from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Former prisoner of conscience, Uyghur Rabiya Kadeer will hold a brief press conference about her three sons’ arrest in China and Uyghur-Canadian Husseyin Celil’s case. Listen to stimulating speakers, write letters and meet Amnesty supporters.
